OOKI is a private app for two people. You pair with one person, leave each other a hidden note, and open it when a shared timer ends. This policy explains exactly what we store and why.

Your sealed note is hidden from your partner until the timer ends — this is enforced by database access rules on our server, not only in the app. All traffic uses HTTPS.
Please note: OOKI is not end-to-end encrypted. Your notes are stored in a form our systems can read, which is what allows us to investigate abuse reports and comply with legal obligations. Do not use OOKI to send information you need to be secret from us.
We use Supabase for authentication, database, and hosting, and Expo for push notification delivery. They process data on our behalf under their own security commitments.
We keep your data while your account exists. Delete your account and it is removed immediately — see below. Abuse reports may be retained longer where needed to keep people safe or meet a legal obligation.
You can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app: open Your journey → scroll to the bottom → Delete my account. This permanently removes your profile, bonds, notes, and focus history. It cannot be undone. You can also email [email protected] and we will action it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
OOKI is not intended for children under 13, and you must confirm you are 13 or older to create an account. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
